Volkswagen Formula 3 Engine Ready for Competition

In the past, Volkswagen has been an engine supplier for motorsports but it pulled out in the 1980s. But the largest European automaker is now making a comeback as it announced earlier this year that they will be supplying engines to teams competing in DTM. The announcement was welcomed by enthusiasts of the sport who remembered the championships won by teams supplied with engine by Volkswagen. Recently, the automaker announced that the engines are ready to see action and it will be used come August 31.

The new engine is a 2-liter engine with an output of 210 horsepower and it will be used on three cars. Maximilian Gotz and Jonathan Summerton, both driving for Italian Team RC Motorsport along with Marco Holzer driving for AM Holzer Rennsport, will be the first three drivers who will be using the new engine from Volkswagen.

Volkswagen Motorsport Director Kris Nissen said that the engine has been tested already in the lab and it is now time to see what it can do in competition. “The new Formula 3 engine from Volkswagen has completed many hours of rig testing and reeled off plenty of test kilometers on the track. Now it’s time to test it in direct competition,” said Nissen.

Nissen added that the first races that the new Volkswagen engines will be used will provide them with information on how to further improve the performance of the racing engine. “The first races are intended to help us assess where we stand and to give us new information we can use in the unit’s evolution for the coming season,” said Nissen.

According to the manufacturer, the engine that they will supply to racing teams competing in Formula 3 is based on the design of an engine used for production cars. The production version of the engine is only rated to produce 150 horsepower but it has the reliability that Volkswagen is known for. The engine that will be supplied to Formula 3 teams uses lightweight materials, has a robust design, and is compact. Although the racing engine is much more powerful than its production version, it would be a perfect fit for production cars which are equipped with Volkswagen splash shields and other auto parts.

Jonathan Summerton have been testing the new engine on the tracks and the driver said that the engine is performing well and that he is now looking forward to competing with the new Volkswagen engine to see how they match up against other teams. “Power and performance of the Volkswagen engine are already at a high level. I’m eager to see where we stand compared with the competition,” said the Florida native.

Aside from Summerton, the other two drivers will also be testing the new engine for three hours on Thursday. Gotz said: “The possibility to test suits us well because it allows us to work out the optimal set-up for our car without being pressured by time.” Marco Holzer, on the other hand, said that the partnership with Volkswagen is a step forward for his team. “The collaboration with Volkswagen is a major step forwards for us,” said Marco Holzer.

Obama’s Socialist Health Care Plan-A Fraud for America

H.R. 3962, the health care reform bill being pushed through Capitol Hill, is nothing more than another fraudulent scheme of suspected Kenya-born Obama’s unconstitutional and un-American agenda to undermine the freedom, prosperity, health and natural rights of every American citizen. The health care reform that Obama wants to impose is a socialist system in which Americans will have less control over their own lives and the government will assume more. It is no wonder socialized health care is the preferred system for any tyrannical government with Marxist ideals.

Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail.

The JCT letter stated that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years

In response to the JCT letter, Camp said: “This is the ultimate example of the Democrats’ command-and-control style of governing – buy what we tell you or go to jail. It is outrageous and it should be stopped immediately.”

For those readers who do not feel utterly outraged over this new legislation or do not yet understand the intent of socialized health care, or socialism for that matter, this article will make such an argument that no intelligent, freedom loving American could ignore.

In the past, socialized health care has been a typical ingredient of communism and in America it will be a great leap in that direction. It is an insult to every intelligent and freedom-loving American for the government to imply that its citizens are incapable of making decisions concerning their own personal health and that only government is worthy of making these decisions by micro-managing each and every Americans health.

Health care in America today is, compared to other “wealthy” developed countries, relatively poor and by what the true American standard should be it is a tragedy. Many Americans recognize this and are thus led to believe that reforming the system would not be such a bad thing. However, the current health care system is not a truly free-market system and definitely not on par with what a Constitutional America should have and deserves.

The “private sector” of American health care is actually so regulated by the government that it is practically socialized as it is. The health care reform that the Obama administration wants will not resolve the problems with our current system, it will only amplify these problems and help secure more control (and profit) for the government, perpetuating the root cause of the system’s shortcomings it already has. Set up as bureaucracy, the system operates and will operate under said reform, with the efficiency and fraud usually inherent of one.

The failing health care system is due to being bureaucratically regulated rather than a having a competitive, privately run, free-market system as per the Constitution of the United States. As an example, in 2002, America spent $1.6 trillion on health care, up 9.3 percent from 2001. Drug costs increased 15.3 percent while hospital costs increased 9.5 percent. Out-of-pocket costs, the most market-related, declined.

Keep in mind these costs are covered by overly stressed taxpayers. A truly competitive and free-market system would guarantee the out-of-pocket costs for hardworking Americans would remain fair and care provided would be of good quality. If health care providers do not give quality and compassionate care, they don’t stay in business. Under socialized health care the opposite is true; expect high cost and low quality when the market is even further monopolized by the government under the socialist system. This most certainly explains why many Americans travel to a lesser developed country, Mexico, to escape the bureaucracy and attain more affordable healthcare.

America originally had such private free-market health care system. During this time our health statistics ranked first in the world. Today, America’s worldwide rank in many health-care areas ranges from 19 to 22. The destruction of the constitutional, fair and effective system may be attributed to the rise of the “medical cartel’ in the late 1800’s. The cartel, the American Medical Association, formed in 1847, was backed by the Carnegie Foundation and the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research. It controls how many medical schools exist, how many students enroll, what is taught in the schools, the availability of hospital residencies, and, indirectly through licensing laws, who will get jobs in medicine.

A cartel exists when one group works together to set prices and control all steps in the production and distribution of a commodity or service. The motive of a cartel is purely monetary. The intention of the AMA was to reduce the supply of doctors by eliminating the competition and controlling the number of medical graduates. The AMA was successful in reducing the number of medical schools from 140 in 1900 to 77 in 1940. This is not the first such fraudulent activity that the Rockefeller family has been known to be involved in.

While on the topic of fraud and profit, it is important to note here that adverse drug effects and medical errors cause about 669,000 deaths according to a survey conducted by the Nutrition Institute of America. This makes drug medicine one of the leading causes of death in America. Alternative health care providers-those who avoid prescribing harmful drugs and instead practice natural health techniques such as the use of vitamins and minerals-are suppressed and shut out of the mainstream by the corporate (pharmaceutical companies)interest of the bureaucracy by imposing restrictive legislation and licensing requirements. If physicians don’t play by the rules, they risk losing their licenses.

It is unlikely a coincidence that socialized health care legislation has been proposed in time to be passed almost in sync with the December 31st, 2009 projected date that Codex Alimentarius is scheduled to be implemented world-wide. Codex Alimentarius basically reclassifies vitamins and minerals as drugs, allowing big pharma to reap great profit while people suffer. Codex food and drug guidelines have already been adopted by the EU, as of this writing the guidelines have not been adopted in the US but the proposed health care reform will drastically increase the likeliness that they will be.

Polls clearly show that most Americans do not want H.R. 3962 to be passed but the government is no longer listening to the needs and desires of Americans. That’s a scary thought. Socialized health care is not about “we the people”, it is about government attaining another monopoly made possible by unconstitutional legislations. It is only about money, power, control and tyranny. If the legislation is passed it will be a sad day in America, it will be another stepping stone toward the incremental destruction of America that has been sought after since 1776.

Republicans: Democrats Health Care Bill Flunks the Cost Test

On Capitol Hill, Republicans point out that the Democrats health care bill doesnt address the fundamental issue: reducing health care costs. Instead, Democrats bill would increase premiums and taxes, cut Medicare, and drive up the deficit.

The Scientific Formula for Getting What you Want

This is the sixth in a series of articles based on the teachings found in the success classic “The Science of Getting Rich”, written in 1910 by Wallace D. Wattles. This book—now in the public domain–is essential reading for anyone who wants to become wealthy. It served as inspiration for the hit film, “The Secret”.

As Mr. Wattles explains in the eighth chapter of “The Science of Getting Rich”, the first step in the science of getting rich is to convey the idea of your wants to the formless substance. In other words, in order to get what you want you have to know what you want, and you have to communicate your wants to original substance by holding an image of what you want in your mind.

In addition, this mental image must be clear and specific, and not just some vague notion. It is not enough that you should have a desire for wealth in order “to do good” or a general desire to travel.

As an example, Mr. Wattles indicates that you would not send a letter to a friend filled with random words from the dictionary and let him construct the message for himself. You would send a coherent sentence which would communicate your message to your friend clearly. Likewise, when you try to impress your wants upon the thinking substance, remember that it must be done by a coherent statement.

As Mr. Wattles indicates, “You must know what you want and be specific and definite. You can never get rich or start the creative power into action by sending out unformed longings and vague desires.” Decide what it is that you want and then set about to create the most complete and specific mental picture that you can.

Choose the key areas of your life and decide what you want for each of these areas. The areas you choose could be the following:

1. Finances: What would you like your net worth to be? When would you like to retire? How much money do you need to support your life goals? What investments would you like to make?

2. Vocation/Career/Contribution: What do you want to do? What do you want to contribute? What would you like to be known for in your profession? What kind of impact would you like to have? What could you create? What contributions do you dream of making? What does your workday look like?

3. Learning/Personal Development: What are your life goals? What skills would you like to acquire? What courses or seminars would you like to attend? What books would you like to read? What are your thinking strategies?

4. Intimate Relationship/Marriage/Children: What would you like your relationship with your partner to be like? What do you want your marriage to look like? What do you want your relationship with your children to be like?

5. Social/Interpersonal/Community: What kind of organizations would you like to be involved in? What qualities and values do you want your friends to have?

6. Home: What is your perfect home environment?

7. Spiritual: What would make you feel spiritually fulfilled?

8. Fitness/Style/Beauty: What are your fitness goals? What would you like to look like?

9. Travel/Adventure/Fun: Where would you like to go? What activities relax you can bring you joy? What adventures would you like to have?

10. Possessions: What would you like to own? What kind of car would you like to drive? Do you want to own a boat? Are there any electronic gadgets you would really like to have?

Decide what you want in each of these areas of your life. Flip through magazines to get ideas and cut out any pictures that call your attention. Create a picture in your mind of what you want in each area of your life and continuously make it more and more specific and add details.

Next, you need to remain focused on what you want. In “Simpleology, the Simple Science of Getting What You Want”, Mark Joyner explains that the Law of Focused Energy states that in order to accomplish something you must focus sufficient energy on it.

For purposes of getting rich, this means that you must have your mental picture continually in front of you. Dwell upon it often, always adding more and more detail to it.

Mr. Wattles admonishes that in order to get rich you must really want to get rich. In other words, strong desire is an important ingredient in the formula. The more you concentrate on what you want, and the more clearly you can see it in your mind, the more you will desire it. And the more that you desire it, the easier it will be to keep your mind fixed on the picture of what you want.

The great Napoleon Hill, famed author of “Think and Grow Rich”, had this to say about desire:

“Truly, thoughts are things, and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire for their translation into riches, or other material objects.”

When you’re thinking about what you want, you must do so with the intent to bring it into tangible expression. That is, you’re not just daydreaming, you’re establishing the foundations for what you intend to bring into your life. Your intention is an energy that you’re sending out into the universe, and the universe responds to this energy.

Another important element is faith: you must know that what you’re thinking about is already yours, and that it’s on its way. Take ownership of the thing you’re manifesting into your life, claim it as being already yours: mentally live in the house you’ve designed for yourself in your mind, wear the clothes you have pictured in your head, mentally drive the car you intend to bring into your life.

Be grateful now for all the things you intend to impress into the thoughtless form, as grateful as you expect to be when they actually take form. The quote below illustrates these principles:

“[I]f you want a sewing machine, hold a mental image of it with the most positive certainty that it is being made or is on its way to you. After once forming the thought, have the most absolute and unquestioning faith that the sewing machine is coming. Never think of it or speak of it in any other way than as being sure to arrive.”

When you’re asking for what you want, do not hesitate to ask largely; original substance wants you to have all that you can use for living the most abundant life you’re capable of living.

The original substance wants to live and enjoy things through humanity: it wants to play music, sing, travel, be beautifully clothed, enjoy comfortable surroundings, and savor luxurious foods, and the way it does so is through you. Therefore, your desire for more is in complete congruence with the urge of original substance for more complete expression.

To summarize:

• You must know what you want and form a clear and specific image of it.

• You must remain focused on what you want and think about it often.

• You must have strong desire for the things you wish to create.

• You must have the intent to manifest what you’re thinking about.

• You must have faith that what you’re asking for will be given to you.

• You must claim what you’re asking for as already being yours.

• Remember to ask largely.
