Curly Hair and Products for Fine Hair help

I have really thick curly/kinky hair (like a 4a), and am opening a shop catering to women with all hair types. Problem is…I don’t know how to make products for people with finer or looser hair patterns..lol.

All of my friends and family use ingredients with heavy oils like perilla seed and shea butter, but I’m afraid these ingredients might be too heavy on someone with 2a or silky straight hair. I’m also trying to make a hair gel for curl definition without the product flaking.

I’m thinking of making a leave-in conditioner that is mostly behentrimonium methosulfate, and perhaps mushroom root infused for slip, a little coconut milk and honey, and jojoba oil. Does that sound good?

What oils do you guys find work the best on your hair? For softness, slip, an shine? What oils make your hair greasy? I know that for the curl defining hair gel, I want to use aloe vera juice as the base and add a little agave nectar for shine.

I just need some direction and you all seem to know a lot about hair. Someone told me that they use epsom salts and distilled water on their hair to accentuate waves…has anyone tried this? I woud think it wou be drying and icky on the hair, but my hair is more curls than waves so I have no clue.

ANY assistance, advice, or recommendation for any type of hair product ingredients that you all like the most will be much appreciated.

Respones Curly Hair and Products for Fine Hair?

Another of myhealthhq readers gave me a email on the responds of Curly Hair and Products for find hair.

I too have 4a hair and have been designing products for allhair types. What I have found is that you can use some of the heavier oils but you cannot use as much of them. In other words, mix it with something light or make it lotion like (more water) versus cream base(less water) I also use things like rinses to remove excess oil and tonics made of aloe vera gel and infused water. All these things seems to have work very well on all my
customers. As far as slip, silk protein works well but have you tried usingcomfrey root or marshamallow root? These items have a nice slippery feel when made into an infusion.
