can anyone recommend a healthy diet cookbook for someone who hates to cook?

i am not a lazy person, i just hate handling and preparing food. the only reason i have a kitchen is because it came with the house. i try to eat lots of vegs and fruit when i do have an appetite. allergic to pork and processed meats, and msg and several seasonings give me migraines. i was hoping there was a cookbook out there that doesn’t only have recipes that require an extra salary and trips to the health food store.

Why not pick up a book about raw food diets. It’s mostly fruits and vegetables and no cooking required.

    Hi Janice!

MSG and preservatives give you migraines? Amazing, I have exactly the book you’re asking about. Your question made me think instantly of a The Adventure Cookbook, by Sofia Brandon, a recent book. She too reacts strongly to MSG. Her book is partly an adventure travel book where she “discovers the art of clean eating” (from the back cover). She traveled around the world on a shoestring (Australia, India, Thailand, the Middle East, Provence etc). I smiled throughout and wished it wouldn’t end. Between the chapters, there are exactly the kinds of recipes that you were asking about: healthy recipes for people who don’t like to cook. Really funny stories, and also inspiring because it’s also a story of life change. You can see the reviews on Amazon.

Wishing you lots of fun with food. Healthy food is such a key to overall health, isn’t it?

    Smiles,

    Playful
