I’ve been making my maltipoo dogfood. Is there any health food additive that would be beneficial. She is 9 months old. Recipe: brown rice cooked with water & chicken broth, ground turkey, and frozen mixed vegetables. I cook this all together and she LOVES it. I think it is quite healthy. Any advice or suggestions on this? Should I add something to make this even more healthy for her, or is it lacking anything?
Is my home made dog food healthy, can I make it better?

You should probably research RAW dog diets instead of feeding her an unbalanced meal every day.
Chicken broth (unless you make it yourself and don’t add salt) is full of sodium and not good for dogs.
Rice and vegetables aren’t requirements for dogs, so most of her actual nutrition is probably coming from the turkey… she should be eating a variety of meats to get different nutrition… chicken backs or necks are great, some beef, buffalo, etc.
I completely agree with the poster who suggested a raw diet (particularly a prey-model raw diet). You can research them at http://www.rawfed.com and at the Raw Food Diet forum on http://www.dogster.com .
