I have a mild case of Hypothyroid and i havent seen a doctor yet to get prescribed medication, but since mine is mild is it possible i can take my diet pills to loose about 15 pounds then get off and wait 2 weeks and start my thyroid medicine? I purchased D4 thermal shock from cellucor and apparently with diet and fitness you really DO loose the weight fast, and effectively. So do you guys think i should start on my diet pill formula, then take medication later???

THANKS! rude comments will be reported !

Don’t take the pills becuase once you’re on your meds you wont need them. Your weight is a result of your hypothyroidism and it will slowly correct itself once you’re on Levothyroxine (synthroid or levothroid). I know you’ve already paid for them but toss them, they’re unnecessary and have different side effects on different people. You’re going to feel so much better after 2 weeks of being on your meds. You’ll see.

Diet pills don’t work save your money, Just go to the don’t and get the meds for your condition. Diet pills just messes up your liver and that’s a whole other problem.

Don’t take diet pills. They don’t work.

Consider this before you haul off to the doctor for thyroid meds. Are you using iodized salt? Check you salt container. If not, switch to iodized salt. Iodine is essential for your thyroid to function properly and most people do not get enough even if they are eating a healthy diet. Maybe it would be worth it to give that a few months and see how you feel before you just start taking medication.

I’m pretty torn – I can see why you want to take the diet pills – I don’t think they’ll work long term, so I want to say you should be healthy and start taking the thyroid pills immediately.

I have a moderate case of hypothyroidism though, and for me the thyroid pills didn’t seem to do much – but I was already at a healthy weight. So don’t count on them – count on being healthy (good clean diet – no pills! and muscle-building exercise) for the rest of your life to keep you thin.

Honestly, if I had already bought the diet pills, I’d use them until they were gone. Don’t buy any more, EVEN if it seems to be working – you’ll just screw yourself up, but give yourself the tiny boost of weight loss they might give you, accept that you’ll probably gain most of it when you stop taking it (this is most why I would be scared of taking diet pills – it’d be hard to stop once you’ve started seeing effects that are artificial and aren’t sustainable w/o the pills) and take the thyroid pills and use healthy ways to lose weight – for the rest of your life.

If have a diagnosed medical condition, you should always see a medical professional and use the prescribed medication they give you in favour of any off the shelf alternative remedy.
