What kind of college degree would I need to become a Fitness Trainer?

I want to become a physical fitness trainer one day, was wondering if I have to go to college and take a certain amount of years to get whatever degree I need, probably associates degree. Or can I just take a certain class like a Fitness class to get certified from which will probably cost a lot cheaper.

  1. Zumba chica says:

Believe it or not, most gyms only require a certification through a nationally recognized organization like AFAA or ACE and it only takes one weekend! It costs roughly $350-400 for the weekend course, plus study materials. If you did want to go the college route, you could get your bachelors degree in Exercise Science or they might offer personal training in an associates degree.
