From what others have told me as well as my own experiance, you would be best off taking ‘natural’ thyroid – not any of the synthetic thryoid medications. I know one man for example and he was on synthetic thyroid and felt lousy etc .When he finally started taking Armour or natural thyriod , the blood pressure went down, and so did his edema which was pretty bad. And that is just for starters.
Blood Pressure and Hypothyroidism can go hand-in-hand
There’s a variety of reasons you may have a blood pressure problem, and often, the precise cause is not obvious. But did you know that a poorly functioning thyroid, or inadequate treatment with T4-only medications, can be a factor in high blood pressure??

It certainly is strange that my tests are normal as we have increased my thyroid 2 times and are considering increasing it again because I am cold all the time and my temperture has actually dropped over 1 degree in the last year.

You are so lucky to have been on natural thyroid from the beginning and a doctor to treat by symptoms. I can only wish I had started on it! Synthroid just did a number on me, keeping me with bad symptoms. When I switched to Armour, I did much better. I have hashi’s. Have you gotten the Stop the thyroid madness book? I use it almost exclusively now, highlighting all the parts that mean a lot to me or want to remember. I’m going to go read your post on baking soda now. Sounds interesting.
