3 weeks ago, I had cold followed by throat infection and cough with phelgm which became alright. Then i had this dry cough problem. But I am having this throat infection for more than 2 weeks. On the whole , a month has passed. I had tablets and my coughing reduced completely. This throat infection is not severe but it disturbs me. It doesn’t seem to get cured completely though I am taking some natural remedies and the prescribed medicines by the doctor. The docter said that i am facing this problem due to pollution and allergies. What must I do to get rid of this throat infection? cough syrups, hot water don’t seem to work out too..and the prescirbed medicines too…. ![]()
early morning, i do not have this infection. but after i travel and reach the college , i get this throat infection and when i sit in the air-conditioned room ,my throat becomes sore and i cough slightly….and everytime i take rest and wake up , i don’t feel this soreness in my throat but a very slight pain….

drink some semen, it’s actually a natural remedy for sore throat/infection…that’s why women love it so much
Get on your knees.
GO TO THE DOCTOR STUPID!!!!!!
If you’ve had the infection for a month you may be suffering from Strep Throat. This requires an antibiotic to kill, which could explain why it hasn’t gone away. It isn’t normal for a regular throat infection to last so long, so something is defientely wrong. Also, strep throat can go away and resurface again unless it is completely killed by an antibiotic.
go back to see your Dr. Trying to take care of this problem on your own, specially since it’s been going on for so long may be dangerous. If you’re unhappy with your doctor, then get a second opinion. Infections don’t go away with over-the-counter or home-made medicine. If you don’t act fast it could turn really ugly.
eat warm stuff, like those soups called marchuan (i think) it really soothes the throat. My lil bro had the throat infecation as well and it worked. Keep yourself warm and covered. Try to get rest and dont watch tv and the computer as much. KEep it easy
gargle saline…i don’t know if this will help. but if it’s allergies why not take allergy medication. maybe go see another doctor.
Get a glass of water then put a pinch of salt and stir. Gargle the water with salt a few times until the glass is empty. Repeat the process about 2-3 times a day.
Try it! It works for me v ^_^ b

Several ideas that could help tremendously:
Oregano oil. Get it at the pharmacy, or health food store. Diffuse it in the air and take 2 drops under the tongue twice a day.
The air diffusion will help get it into your lungs and throat. It will also kill the airborne bacteria/viruses.
The drops will kick start your immune system.
Get Ginseng tablets. They are another immune booster. Ginseng is a primary ingredient in ColdFX which is all about boosting your immune system.
If you can, get an air purifier for your home, especially your bedroom. If you can’t, pick up a humidifier. You could probably find one though Craigslist for a song.
The humidifier would help keep dust down and it also helps control the transmission of bacteria. Operating room theaters are kept exceptionally humid for this reason. The higher humidity would help sooth your throat too.
Another great throat soother, that is also an antiviral/antibacterial is ginger. Get some candied ginger and dice it really fine. Put about 8 pieces diced up in a jar with 1/3 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup honey. Stir and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. Then use a few tablespoons of the ginger syrup in boiling water. Makes a lovely soothing and therapeutic drink. If you add a tablespoon to Cammomile tea, it’s seems to coat the throat, and tastes very good.
