@tokapelli Have never tried this method. How is this done? I make hash so I know about using ice and cold water. Please, inform me of this technique.

This is GREAT. It has been my experience that you can make an even HIGHER quality Olive Oil using kief obtained through ice extraction. This makes the flavor much better, as well as having a longer shelf life than the green oil. Awesome for eating, massage, ointments and more! Especially for vegans or anyone concerned about the cholesterol and hormones in butter. Peace.

@uprocz1 Double stuff is the created by cooking a batch of oil twice. The first time you strain the liquid from the leaves. put another batch of fresh leaf/bud in the hot liquid and cook again. This double stuff is quite potent. I do not normally cook it because is too strong for most of my people. You don’t want the yellow shade leaves. Is possible would be less THC.

dr. Diane please help… how to double cook, is it the same as your double stuff?? and i was also wondering if the water leaves that come from the vegatative state of the plant work, as well or would there be less THC???

    la la land sounds tempting..

@gmwell1 More tutorial will come in the future. I make what I call “double stuff.” I cook a cooker of oil and when I strain it I put back into a pot. Then I put another batch of leaf in, let sit over night and cook again the next day. This is not twice the potency. You can flavor the oil with lemon, apple, rosemary, etc.. Also, I tried to respond to your email. For some reason it is not happening.

I guess by functional recipes I meant the food using hash or infused oil like this tutorial. Seems like the oil works a bit too well for my but my husband its not strong enough for. The cookies I made tasted ok but the taste of the cannabis was a bit strong. One cookie sent me over the top (BAD) but my husband has to eat 4 to be medicated. Hope you do some more vids!!! Us patients need good resources on the HOW TO’S. :)

@ferrai87 What type of tutorials would you like to see. To increase the potency of your oil, use bud or double cook a batch. To decrease the potency add non infused olive oil. Your questions are good, thanks!

@gmwell1Thank you for your positive feedback. I appreciate you taking time to do so. Have not tried coconut oil, have other plans for coconut oil. If you try it, please keep me posted.

@gmwell1 I fired up my pressure cookers, 4. Friday, using 1/2 of leaf in each cooker. Put them on the stove by 8:30 am. Took them about 1 hour to get up to the proper cooking speed. Started taking them down to strain at 11:0 am.

  16. ferrai87 says:

    i luv this laddy..lmao

  17. gmwell1 says:

I would love to see some more functional recipe tutorials too. Some very potent and some less potent for patients that have a lower tolerence. Awesome again I have to say though. lol I just keep thinking of things to say :)

Also i made some oil following this recipe and used canola oil instead and came out great. Thanks so much I have probably watched this vid 12 times. I have wanted to try this with coconut oil!!! Melts at low temp and is firm at room temp, tasteless great to replacing butter or shortening. How do you think that will work?

  19. gmwell1 says:

What would pressure cooking for 2 hrs do? Or more than an hour? As long as the water didn’t run out.

She’d wear that stuff as perfume and I’d wear it as cologne! HA!

  21. doctordll says:

@SicSkatez When baking goodies you want exact measurements. When I cook, I use whatever amount I feel is good for me.

  22. SicSkatez says:

@esemitomyeh It will be the exact same thing…If you use it to cook it’ll surely melt, either way…but if you’d like to measure it accurately then melt it so you’ll know the exact measurement

@erikhouston Thank you for sharing this information.

  25. doctordll says:

@pinkpanthersix Yes, there is a smaller receipe. Use 1 oz. leaf, 1 1/4 cup of water, and 1/2 cup olive oil. Hope this helps you. Good luck!
