Hawaii is known for its white sand beaches, tropical climate and fun water sports. But any food lover wil tell you that the real draw on Oahu is the fresh garlic shrimp, served at roadside shrimp trucks along the North Shore. how do I know if the shrimp is done?
do I wait for it to turn pink or orange
Shrimp cooks really fast under a high heat. 10 minutes max in a hot pan, and your shrimp will be done. The shrimp under the shell will turn all white when done. Hope this helps.
Jason
thanks

Gotta add some cheese factor to the video! Ha!
Looks pretty good. I’m gonna have to try this one. I have my recipe on my site, specifically geared for those who never cooked before.
that bite you make on every video is a teaser. hahaha
hey I’m doing a dinner party Friday and will be using the ‘hot rock’ idea. I was trying to make it a main course using steak, ahi, and maybe shrimp. This doesn’t seem like a recipe to cook the shrimp on rocks. Is there a variation you’d suggest to incorporate shrimp?
Hi. You can butter fly the shrimp for faster cooking. To butterfly the shrimp, take a sharp knife and cut down the back all the way down so you have two equal halves. Remove the shell before doing this.
Hope this helps,
Jason
That looks great. One question. When cooked we eat the shirip with the shell or we remove it before eating?
Thanks — You’re supposed to peel it, then dip the shrimp in the garlic sauce. Hope you enjoy~!
omg that looks so good =p
do you have to use the wine??
Thanks! =]
No, you can leave the wine out.
May I please ask you a question.
I saw on the many chep when they said

Use white all purpose flour.
That looks tasty!! So I guess you leave the shells on? Do you peel after they’re done cooking? Thx
looks great. I never tried cooking shrimp using flour before. But I’ll try.
I think I’ll peel the shells though. I hope it comes out the same
