hi chef jason i have a question i used to make your banana bread and they always turned out really delicious and moist but now i theyre always not cooked in the middle.. pls help me as i wanted to cook them for my sons birthday…

  10. ChefTips says:

Just bake it a little longer. Perhaps your oven is not working properly. It’s always a good idea to put a long skewer in the middle of the cake before removing it. If the batter is still wet, it’s not quite ready. Cheers, Jason

This has to be one of the best banana breads I have made. Although more like a cake It just disappeared at home I also took one to work and It was the most popular on the table. I had to cut smaller pieces so everyone could get a piece. I even posted this site on my facebook page so they could all find it… GODD JOB!

can i make this without the sour cream??? great video =D

  23. ChefTips says:

That’s the secret ingredient, so it won’t be as moist without it. Thanks for commenting! Jason

what if I use nonbleached whole wheat bread flower? What’s the difference in cooking with all purpose and regular flower anyway?

  25. ChefTips says:

Bread flour is used more for yeast type breads. This is a non yeast cake/bread recipe.
