Can urad daal be replaced with yellow moong daal? I find the urad daal to be a bit heavy for digestion, so was wondering if this could be replaced with moong daal? Otherwise, a good recipe.
We have not made this daal without a pressure cooker, so we don’t have the exact water quantity needed. You can just keep adding a little water at a time until the daal gets cooked. The daal is on the dry side.
Ladies, this looks like a fabulous recipe!
I’d love to try it but I don’t own a pressure cooker. Do you have a version of this recipe that doesn’t require a pressure cooker?
We haven’t tried this exact recipe with moong daal but it should work. The amount of water may be different, though.
