ok well my sister says i have very nappy hair like a a black girl [not tryin to be racist at all] so we found this pantene relaxed and natural hair conditioner. it is for colored women because they usually have nappy hair. so my sister says i should try it to make my hair look less nappy. i want to try it but my question is since it is for colored women, if i use it will it damage my hair?

How do I take care of my natural hair as a black woman?
May 31st, 2010
My Health I’vve had a relaxer since I was 5 and just cut all my hair off in July to go natural (yay me!). I use Soft Sheen Carson hair products (shampoos, conditioners, hair oil creams) and was wondering how often I should be washing my hair. I dont use any heat on it (its a lil curly fro right now) and I use oil cream and brush it everyday. Do any black women have any suggestions on the healthiest way to take care of natural hair?
Natural ways to dye black (African-American) hair other than henna?
May 27th, 2010
My Health Hi,
I’m black with natural hair and I’m thinking about dying my hair. I’ve researched henna, and although the red color is appealing, it’s not what I want. Henna will appear more like red highlights in black (African-American) hair. I don’t want red highlights. My hair has a natural brown tint to it and I want to highlight a bit more this color. Are there any other options to naturally dye hair without using henna and something that will give a different color to black hair (other than red)? Or, is there something I can add to the henna solution that will make it a brown-ish color?
Right now, I use conditioner for color-treated hair to bring out my natural brown tint, but this doesn’t last long.
