My Health Would you consider my health to be in danger?
April 22nd, 2010
My Health Please read Im very nervous.
Three years ago I was in great shape. I was a full time cheerleader and a level 10 gymnast and fitness was my life but then at 18 I got pregnant and that all went to hell!
I gained over 80 lbs with my baby and didnt exercise for the last 6 months because every time I tried my blood pressure plummeted and they put me on bed rest. Then I lost most of it through nursing and weight watchers. I never really returned to an exercise program until now.
I enrolled in a local gym and during our initial consultation they did all the necessary measurements and they pinched my fat to calculate my body fat percentage.
Turns out that I am 120-125 lbs ( i fluctuate), 20 years old, 5’2”, and I have 30% body fat.
I know that body fat percentage is really bad but the trainer told me I have a great health risk and I need to act NOW to save my life because I am at high risk of developing diabetes and other disorders.
I just feel like im not that big, do you think she was being dramatic or does this sound like a “great risk” to you?
Do you also think its possible that my lose skin from pregnancy weight gain and loss could have made it seem like I have more fat.
Thanks so much in advance!
Simple Treatments For Hair Loss That You Should Consider
April 13th, 2010
My Health Hair loss can be stressful when it’s happen, especially for women. On the other hand, having beautiful hair has become the desire of many women for a long time. If you experience this problem, here are some simple treatments for baldness that can help you to overcome it.
Eat nutritious foods, especially food that contains protein and zinc. Protein is very important for the development of body parts, including hair. You can get protein from fish, egg, nuts, yoghurt, and soybean. Avoid caffeine drinks like coffee, since it is not good for your hair.
Choose extra light herbal shampoo that can make your scalp more comfortable. Do not use hot or warm water when washing your hair. Use regular temperature of water or cold water. You also should not use a hairdryer or towel to dry your head after washing it.
You can just let it dry naturally. Use conditioner with a ginseng ingredient, so it can strengthen your hair and make it shiny. While you are applying the conditioner, comb your hair with rarely toothed comb so your hair will not be tousled when you wash it later.
Hair tonic, serum, or masker with ginseng also can be a good treatment for hair loss, since they can stimulate your hair to grow. Use the masker 2 to 3 times a week. It is better not to use hair gel, cream, grease, oil, coloring and hair spray.
If you really need to use them, you can choose products that are made from natural sources that will not damage your hair. If your hair continues to fall out, you may need to talk with your doctor to get further treatment for your hair loss.
