128 days 40lbs injury prevention fitness program tips :) TIA?

i am not new to exercise- in fact i love it.
i have stopped doing it, for last few months, i have been doing light jogs and getting back into it. in fact i am overweight because i eat too much.
i have set some goals and i am going to watch my 1500 calories each day like a hawk.
i am also at 32 not a young chick no more – going to start a heavy weight, cardio, and abs program-

can i plz get some advise on how to avoid injury- i want to make it 128 days w/out injury on my knees, or feet- i am fat, and i carry alot of muscel, that is why 155 is right weight 4 me.
if i loose the weight will my knees not injury as easy, do i injur becayse of the extra weight- tips, websites, any info on program suggestions, as well as injury prevention would so be apreciated.

Is it true that eating extra calories 1 out of 7 days will boost yourmetabolism??

I was looking up different exercise programs and came across harley pasternaks 5-factor fitness program. It said that if you exercised and ate healthyfully all week, you could double your calorie intake one day and not exercise because it’s proven to give you a metabolic boost.

I can see the logic in this, and I’m sure it helps people stay on their diets longer because they won’t feel deprived. But is this whole “metabolic boost” thing fact or fiction?
