Moran went to the House floor to express his opposition to HR 3962, the Pelosi health care bill, which passed the House of Representatives by a 220-215 vote at 11:15 pm EST Saturday night, November 7, 2009. This bill contains billions of dollars in cuts to Medicare, fails to reduce health care costs, grows the government, and explodes the deficit. Moran believes this bill will lead to diminished health care for Kansans.

Today, March 21, 2010, we will cross another bridge. It is not a physical bridge but it is a bridge that too many Americans find that they cannot cross, a river that separates them from the security of having available the best health care that is available in the world. Available to them. We are here to conclude a day of debate which concludes months of debate in a national conversation that began more than a century ago. But this much is beyond debate.
