I just finished my summer job; so I have lots of time and am doing multiple fitness programs now. My main goal is to gain vertical leap so I have a plyometric program that suggests to be done anywhere from 1-3 times per week based on my other activities. Do you think I am hurting my vertical gains by doing moderate chest, and ab workouts, as well as playing ultimate frisbee, and basketball about 4 times a week. I want to see improvement in my vertical so should I cut back on my other activity? or with proper diet and sleep can my body recover from all this exercise simultaneously

Health and fitness question. Is there somthing I can do or eat that will give me a ‘jump start’—?

When I go to do my weight lifting routine? The first 15-20 mins or so of my work out are just brutal, I just cant get my mind and/or body into the zone. After I am in the zone tho everything goes fine. I always start by getting my heart rate up and strechting, eating some simple carb’s before hand, somtimes a small amount of caffinee. I am just wondering if there is a simple fix to this? Also I have been working out for many years, so I am not a newbie lol, just mabye mis informed :) … male 26 , 195 lbs.

Which components of fitness are used in long jump and 400m?

Just to clarify, this is kinda 2 separate questions. Also, if you could suggest what exercises could help to improve on these that i could include in a 6 week training program? (this is for year 11 Phys Ed, and we need to put it into practise also)
