Vaginal douching with yogurt & kefir. 10 points?

 Powered by Max Banner Ads

If you are able to my answers with detail i will give you 10 points…

I am interested in giving myself a yogurt douche to replace the good bacteria in my vagina. I was told that unpasteurized, organic active yogurt is used for this method however i heard that kefir is the most potent source for probiotics.

Would it be ok to mix the yogurt with the kefir to get a better source of good bacteria?

If you dont know what i am talking about please move along. Thanks…

Good Kefir Recipes?

I am thinking about getting Kefir for my daughter who is experiencing intestinal/colon problems – I think probiotics will really help her. Does anyone know any good recipes for smoothies? Thanks!!!

Look up “kefir” if you aren’t sure what I’m talking about. It’s like yogurt, only better!
Thanks for these ideas so far!

My daughter is 14, she experienced symptoms like appendicitis over the last 13 days and has been referred to a pediatric GI specialist. There is a family history of colitis – so we are hoping it is not that. She has been on anti-biotics since she was six for recurrent Urinary Tract Infections and I am thinking it could be she just doesn’t have enough good bacteria in her GI tract now. Makes sense. She is an athlete, eats an extremely healthy diet (lots of raw fruit, veggies, fiber and whole grains, organics). I never would have expected any of our kids to have GI problems. She hasn’t been stressed – she is a super happy, well-balanced kid. She is my smiley one! I am sure she’ll be fine – but I am going to be proactive about helping her w/ diet! We are what we eat!

Kefir touching metal lid of pickle jar?

I recently got some kefir grains, but when I got home after transporting them, I realized that the jar they were in was laying on its side. This means they were most likely touching the metal lid for at least 2 hours, since it was a long drive home.

The jar was a small jar, like a pickle or jam jar. The lid is made of some kind of metal, I’m not sure what kind though. Someone said those jars have a small coating of plastic or something, so it’s not exposed metal, but I’m not sure about that. I really don’t want to be ingesting metal via the kefir, but I also don’t want to waste the kefir grains.

Is what happened likely a problem?
