			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>if there were two identical twins who moved away from each other when they went to college, the one is now a CPA in a high-profile accounting firm, working long hours in a stressful environment and the other one studied nutrition and  exercise physiology and managers the wellness program at a large fitness centre. they are both 30 and are different in weight, the nutritionist is lean and the accounting guy has central obesity, hypertension and problems with blood sugar regulation.  because they are identical twins, would you expect that they both have the same health profile?</p>

I truly hate this feeling and i want a really good and motivating plan. <p>People take vitamin supplements regularly but not everyone know exactly what they are or what they are for. Of course, people know that it is for the benefit of their health, but not many understand why vitamins do help indeed. <p>&#13;Vitamins are very important for the health as they are the tools needed for keeping the body functioning well, repairing organs, and building tissues. However, people have been finding it more difficult to keep up with their nutritional requirements due to their very hectic lifestyles. Most people solve this problem by taking vitamin supplements that help fulfill their dietary needs. </p>
<p>&#13;When taking nutritional vitamin supplements, however, careful consideration is needed to ensure that they can indeed improve your health. It is not safe to just grab jars of pills from the drug store without knowing what they are for or how they should be taken. To be safe and to ensure that you are getting the most from vitamin supplements, it is important to check a couple of things. </p>
<p>&#13;1. The dosage &#8211; vitamin supplements are like medicines in the way that there are prescribed dosages for certain people. Depending on your weight, age, sex, there is an optimal amount that you would need in order to get the most from a particular supplement. If you take too little, you may not receive the full benefits of the supplement. If you take too much you may be wasting a lot of nutrients or even cause them to build up to toxic levels. You should consult your doctor to know how much you should take for every type of vitamin supplement. </p>
<p>&#13;2. Safety &#8211; like drugs, nutritional vitamin supplements should have had passed testing and research. It would be rather risky to bank on a product that has not been tested by a reputable institution. You may be taking something that could actually be harmful to your health. You should also not be deceived by labels such as &#8220;organic&#8221; and &#8220;herbal&#8221; because not all things that come from nature are safe for human consumption. You would not drink snake venom or eat poisonous mushrooms for obvious reasons &#8211; these things are natural. </p>
<p>&#13;3. Your Diet &#8211; you may already be getting some, if not many of your needed vitamins from the food you eat. It would just be redundant to take these vitamins in supplement form. If you eat citrus fruits regularly, then you might not need to take Vitamin C supplements anymore. If you always eat nuts, then you might not need to take Vitamin E capsules. Observe your diet and check if there are indeed things that are missing so that you know if you really need supplements, and if you do, which particular ones you would have to take. </p>
<p>&#13;4. Your Health Profile &#8211; people are not made equal, what may be good for your spouse may not necessarily good for you. Certain supplements might react negatively with some medicines you are taking or it may worsen a particular health condition you are suffering. It is best to check with your doctor and see which supplements you can and cannot take. </p>
<p>&#13;Nutritional vitamin supplements can be helpful but they can also be wasteful, or worse, harmful. So take careful consideration before you decide to take supplements.</p>

<p>Within the family structure, parents must deal with the nutrient robbing foods which compromises a childâs growth during their formative years. Between the age of twelve and twenty five, the majority of our bones are formed. To ensure against osteoporosis in later life, monitor your childâs sugar and pop intake for it leaches calcium from the body. If your child does not like vegetables, or has a problem with dairy, consider supplementing their diet with a good quality vitamin and mineral product. </p>

Overwhelming situations are better dealt with by an optimist than a pessimist. On the whole, a person maintaining a positive outlook will more easily ride out the stressful periods than a pessimistic one. A positive attitude will help confront a problem head on.</p>

It is absolutely mind boggling how many there are to choose from, and it leaves a person wondering if they should buy several supplements for optimum health, or go with a once-a-day vitamin to cure all their nutritional ailments.  </p>

In theory, a nutritional supplement is supposed to supply nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and amino acids, that are missing from a person&#8217;s diet and are essential for someone&#8217;s health. Herbal supplements are also included under the umbrella term &#8220;supplements.&#8221;</p>

Most herbs and botanicals that are found in these supplements are naturally occurring in different parts of the world. Somewhere along the way, someone came up with the idea of bottling and selling them. Some Supplements claim to help you reduce your risk of just about everything, including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, anxiety and fatigue. And there are also supplements that claim to help increase your motivation, concentration, and your metabolism. So, which do you choose?  </p>

First, before you buy anything, you should assess exactly what it is that you are trying to accomplish. Choosing supplements that are designed to work to lower your blood pressure are not going to help with your cholesterol problem. Next, talk to your doctor about your health, if for no other reason than to let them know what you are taking. Sometimes naturally occurring substances, no matter how harmless they seem, can have an adverse reaction to your health when mixed with prescribed medication.</p>

So, when searching for supplements specifically to keep your heart healthy, you should look for those that contain ingredients that address the major risk factors that can lead to heart disease. These include: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, stress and physical inactivity. </p>

Without a doubt, there are a lot to choose from, and you must be careful that you don&#8217;t get caught buying a product that will provide no benefit at all. Make sure that the company producing the vitamins has published clinical trials of their studies related to the product. </p>

If stress and anxiety seem to plague your health, don&#8217;t worry, there&#8217;s a natural supplement for that. For anyone, you know that short-term stress is unavoidable. Sometimes, chronic or long term stress can be caused by your job, financial worries and your personal relationships. This too may be unavoidable. </p>

Without a major life change, it is often impossible to alter these specific situations; luckily, it is possible to change the way you respond to them. Chronic stress can also lead to depression, which often accompanies heart disease.  </p>

Overall, most agree that supplements are a good way to fill in the health gaps that your not-always-balanced diet leaves behind. In addition, for those times when you are not able to get a good night&#8217;s sleep, or you are suffering from a bad week at work, these natural products can help ease your anxiety and make you feel as though you are back on a level playing field. When it comes to your health you just can&#8217;t neglect your body and what you are putting into it.</p>

<p>I would like to share with you some principals of good nutrition. Some people talk about diet, but for me it is better to talk about nutrition because it is a lifestyle that you need to live. It is not about following some plan to loose weight and then going back to what you were eating before. I think the biggest reason people get stuck in this cycle of gaining and loosing weight is because they think about going on a &#8216;diet&#8217;. It is this thing that they do and then they go back to normal. If you want to be in control of your weight, you need to have a good nutrition plan every day. This doesn&#8217;t mean that you can&#8217;t go through a phase to loose fat or build some lean muscle or whatever. The fact is that you will be what you are doing 90% of the time. It is also about more than just maintaining a healthy fat percentage, it&#8217;s about being as healthy as possible. Good nutrition will supply your body with most of the vital nutrients to live in optimal health. A lot of people want to eat whatever they feel like and then try to take supplements to counter attack their bad diet. This will never work.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So what should you do? If you are prepared to change you can learn new habits. You are taking time to prepare food in any case. You might just as well learn how to do it differently from what you are used to. It is really not that difficult or as time consuming as most people believe. In the beginning, say the first month, it will take a bit longer. You will need to think a bit before running into the shop to buy groceries. Eventually the new principals will become your habits. Following are a few principals that you can implement to help you sort out your nutrition. This list is by no means complete, but it is a good start.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>1. Eat real food. If you do just this one thing, you will be amazed at how much healthier you will be, how much better you will feel, look and perform. So what is real food? It must have been a living organism or direct product of one at some stage. Think about all the meats, eggs, milk, etc. I&#8217;m sure you know what a plant looks like, so look for some of those in your shopping trolley. No processed stuff! If you get the meat, you want the cow without the skin, not some processed thingy that has who knows what in it. (Trust me, you don&#8217;t want to know!) If you get the fruit and veggies, think about the pictures that we show children to teach them what the different fruit and veggies are; this is an apple, this is broccoli, etc. You must be able to put them in a definite category. If something is in a box or packet, there is a big chance that you can do better. If you follow this rule you will not drink bad liquids, you will get in healthy fruit and veggies and you will get in lean proteins. Obviously it is not all that simplistic, but if you stick to this rule as much as possible, you will definitely do yourself and your loved ones a favour.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>2. Eat smaller meals throughout the day. A meal doesn&#8217;t need to be a plate with stuff on it. If you eat breakfast, you can put in a nice snack before lunch, then another snack before dinner again. In this way you have 5 meals every day. Just to clarify, a snack must still be real food (remember principal 1?) This rule is important because there are numerous studies to confirm that eating this way is better for your blood sugar levels, your hormone levels, and your energy levels throughout the day. This rule ties in with the next 3 principals. I know you think you are too busy to make and eat 5 meals or more a day, but if you are willing to change, you can learn new habits to help you. If you get into the habit of planning ahead, you can plan all your meals for a week in advance. Every morning you can make all the meals for that day (or as much of it as possible) and it can take you around 30 minutes. You might need to learn some new recipies, but you are willing to change, right?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>3. Eat lean protein at every meal. Don&#8217;t worry, you are probably not eating enough protein to hurt your kidneys. In fact, you are probably not eating enough protein for optimal health. In all my years I have only met one person in a ketonic state. You need sufficient proteins to maintain all your body tissue. Of all the food groups, proteins are the best for loosing fat. It takes about three times more energy just to process proteins compared to carbohydrates and fats. Animal proteins are complete proteins, which means that they contain all the essential amino acids. If you choose not to eat them, you need to be more careful. Combine foods that will make up a complete protein profile.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>4. Eat fruit and veggies at every meal. Yes, it includes breakfast. Tomatoes with your box of cereal? You probably shouldn&#8217;t be eating that box of cereal! Remember principal 1, always. Although it sounds freaky at first, it really is not that difficult to whip up a fast breakfast with good food. Think omelette with spinach and feta, or fresh fruit with yoghurt. I make fresh veggie juice every morning and it tastes fantastic if you put the right stuff into it. Most people raise their eyebrows when they see the glass with red juice, but they are always pleasantly surprised when they taste it. Have I mentioned principal 1 before? For snacks you can use fresh fruit or veggie sticks. What about an avo with salad? Just read some health cook books, there are lots of ways to prepare fruit and veggies. Do I really need to tell you why they are good for you? People still debate about proteins and fats, but everybody agrees that you need fruit and veggies, and the more, the better. They supply you with vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and a host of stuff that are good for you. Listen to your mother and just eat them.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>5. Eat fats at every meal. If you still believe that fats make you fat, wake up and smell the olives. Because fats are calorie dense, they will make you fat if you get in too much. They will make you sick if you get in too much of the wrong kind, but you need all the natural fats. There are essential fats, so please don&#8217;t go low fat on me. If you eat animal protein, you are getting in saturated fats, so balance that out with some olive oil, nuts, avo&#8217;s, fish or fish oil, etc. I know I sound like a broken record, but if you stick to principal 1, you will not have a problem with getting in the wrong fats, mainly trans fats. It is really easy to add natural fats to all your meals.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>6. Make sure your food tastes good. This might sound silly, but it is important if you are planning on maintaining a healthy nutrition plan. Most people I meet think that healthy food tastes bad. It is because they usually don&#8217;t know about rule 1! Real food tastes great, especially if you can learn to use fresh herbs and spices in your recipies. If you leave out the boxes of mixed spices, you will be amazed. With basics like salt, black pepper, olive oil, lemons, basil, origanum, sage etc., you can cook up a spread fit for a king. You can even make healthy deserts! I have been eating clean for about 6 years now and people think of our food as fantastic. It is mainly my amazing wife&#8217;s fault since she is a great cook, but we are known as the people who create wonderful food. We even have a line in our business where we combine 5 star food with entertainment, and people love it! <p>There you have the basics of what I believe can help you be fit, healthy and beautiful. You don&#8217;t need to eat perfect, but following a sound nutritional program 90% of the time would do you a world of good. Although I am a kettlebell instructor, I would rather see you eat better than train with weights. You can never out-condition bad nutrition.</p>

<p>If you are prepared to change, you can turn your health and body around. With a bit of a learning curve and planning you could soon be eating food that is good for your health and good for your taste buds.</p>

<p>Many people believe that nutritional supplements are responsible for their illnesses disappearing and there is in fact scientific research to back such claims, so they can definitely work &#8220;can&#8221; being the key word.  </p>
<p>You may be wondering why we need nutritional supplements in the first place. Lets face it, we humans are creatures just like all the other animals out there. 90% of what we do in life is not natural. Driving a car, going to work and wearing clothes is not what we were suppose to do in life. Now this also relates to the food we eat, meaning most of the food we eat like chips, cakes, ice cream and pizza is not natural. In actual fact all we are suppose to consume is meat from animals, fruit, vegetables and drink water. If all we consumed were those things we would probably be much healthier and would have no need for nutritional supplements. </p>

When debating whether to purchase a supplement, you should give the label a thorough viewing. Check the nutritional and ingredients panel to see if exactly what you will be consuming. If you&#8217;re allergic to any specific ingredients or nutrients than obviously this part is essential.</p>
<p>Check for Standards Label<br />
You should definitely inspect the label to look for any messages, which says tested by or meets the standards by; If you live in the US, the USP label is what you should be looking for. If there is no such labeling than you really are taking a gamble, not only with your money but with your health too.</p>
<p>Expiration Dates<br />
Simply put if the bottle contains no expiration date, don&#8217;t buy it.</p>
<p>Price<br />
Although a higher price may not mean a healthier product, avoid any supplements that are priced remarkably low.</p>

The safest place to purchase any nutritional supplements is from a drug store. It may not be an ultimate security mechanism, but a drug store will definitely attract a higher amount of reputable products.</p>
<p>See your Doctor<br />
Arrange a consultation with your family doctor and together work out a nutritional supplement plan. Apart from yourself, no one else knows your body better than your doctor. Your doctor will help you understand which types of supplements you need and which ones you should avoid.</p>
<p>At the end of the day, you need to realize that you&#8217;re responsible for what you put in your body. It&#8217;s not worth gambling with your health, so please consult with your doctor and keep the above points in mind next time you shop for nutritional supplements.</p>

<p>&#13;It&#8217;s about time you placed your life at a premium. A good life isn&#8217;t just about the quantity of life, it&#8217;s also about the quality of life. Think about it: you don&#8217;t want to be bedridden or a vegetable for the remaining years of your life. You want to be able to live long enough so that you can enjoy the fruits of your labor and your life up close and not on the bed. Of course there are several ways to keep you healthy, the two main things being a healthy diet, and of course, exercise. But there&#8217;s nothing wrong with going the extra mile for your health. That can be achieved with the right nutritional and dietary supplements that helps keep your body fit. Supplements make sure that your body has enough of the vitamins it needs to keep functioning at the optimum. Vitamins are natural organic compounds so there&#8217;s no danger of consuming supplements that are synthesized and artificial. Everything is pulled from mother nature &#8212; plants, specifically, which are basically the only living creatures with the ability to manufacture their own food. We cannot, so we must rely on outside sources to keep ourselves healthy. Of course, we must exercise caution and exercise awareness of what we are taking in and how our intake affects our body.</p>
<p>&#13;For vitamins there&#8217;s a recommended dietary allowance which differs according to age and state of health. For example, a pregnant woman might be asked to take in specific vitamins to make sure that the fetus develops as healthy as possible with the least possible complications. Also, vitamin deficiencies occur from a nutritionally imbalanced diet. Let&#8217;s face it, in a world of processed foods, it&#8217;s hard to keep healthy. Vitamin supplements help curb the nutritional imbalance. To know if you are eating well enough, and to pinpoint the specific vitamins your body lacks, the best way is through a blood test. For most people, nutritional supplements that you take everyday and that come with all the basic vitamins and minerals is good enough. There&#8217;s no need for a blood test to do this. For others, however, there may already be bodily symptoms that express a certain deficiency. It&#8217;s always good to be reminded that an ounce of prevention is definitely worth more than a pound of cure. And prevention can be as simple as swallowing pills packed with vitamins. There have been millions of cases of heart disease and cancer that could&#8217;ve been prevented by a simple vitamin.</p>
<p>&#13;There is really nothing that can replace a healthy diet as good as &#8212; well, a healthy diet. Healthy meals of organic fruits and vegetables will definitely cost less in the long run, besides. However, nutritional supplements still play an important role aside from giving you &#8220;very expensive urine.&#8221; The human body requires at least 40 essential micronutrients which a healthy diet alone cannot supply.</p>
<p>&#13;Of course, too much of a good thing is &#8212; bad. You actually might just end up producing &#8220;really expensive urine.&#8221; It can help prevent cancer and heart disease, but too much of it will not only turn you a shade of yellow or orange, but in some cases can give you liver disease. So make sure to consult a physician to get the best combination of nutritional supplements that will best augment your body.</p>
