i go to snap fitness for about hour and a half each day..sometimes every other day.

first day-first i jog/walk 2 miles about 30 min if im walking most of it..
..then do the stairstepper for about 20 minutes
…then i do the leg exercises with the machines 2 diff machines..2 sets of 10
..then i do a line of the arm machines that work each part..2 sets of 10 for each machine..like 4 machines..
..then i do some ab stuff and calf lifts.

2nd day..i dont do as much..resting the muscle groups.
i still do the jog/walk 2 miles..but i do the programs that incline and pick up the speed..so it burns more..
then 20 minutes on the stair climber.

i have a habit of eaching chips and stuff..would i still lose weight even if i ate SOME chips more than twice a week.. im not using all my daily calories either..
i burn about 400 alone in the gym..i dont think its that much..
ive lost 5 pounds but im wondering if i exercise ill lose weight no matter what? as long as im not eating real bad.

Needing help forming a routine and sticking with it?

I need to lose weight and I know this. I am diabetic, and if I don’t lose the weight I will be on insulin within the next year. I don’t want that. Also, I’m getting married in 2 years. I don’t want to look at the wedding pictures and think, “Can I burn these?” Also, when I have children, I don’t want to be a bad example. I want to show them how to do this as well.

Here is the situation: I have tried to keep an exercise program before but I get burnt out too quickly. I think I am doing too much too quickly. So, where do I start? How many minutes at a time, how often a week? What about strength training? When, how long, how often? And WHAT do you do? I have a fitness ball that I know how to use and some weights. I know how to tone arms, but don’t know how to deal with the lower body toning. Please help me!

Suggestions for nightly dinner routine? Cooking, recipes, etc.?

My boyfriend and I are going to start trying to be healthier and cost effective by making dinner every night. We’ve tried doing this in the past though and the attempts seem to fail after 2 or 3 times. I think sometimes it’s just being at a loss of what to make.
So I guess my real question would be, what’s a good way to get into the habit of making dinner every night? What’s a good way to find recipes that aren’t too complicated, and start doing a dinnertime routine?

Does this sound okay for a fitness routine for a 19 year old?

I’m in college and want to make sure I’m staying healthy.

I just made up my fitness schedule:

Monday: Arms-weights and 15 minutes of cardio (biking)
Tuesday: Legs-weights and 15 minutes of cardio (elliptical)
Wednesday: A swift walk around the campus perimeter
Thursday: PE Class (about 50 minutes of whatever workout our coach chooses)
Saturday: 45 minutes of cardio (whatever I choose)

I’m not looking to lose weight. Just stay where I am =]
