If I use the diabetes recipes from allrecipes.com, is it safe and healthy while pregnant?

I am gaining too much weight too fast (started out at 145, am now 215 and have 7 weeks to go) and am really interested in eating healthier, or maybe losing some of the extra weight without hurting the baby. I understand that crash dieting, or any other type of dieting is a bad idea, and just want to change the way I eat to being healthier and see if that changes anything.
My mom suggested looking up gestational diabetes and following those guidelines, but I can’t find any recipes. Allrecipes.com has a diabetes section of healthy recipes that are safe for people with diabetes. Is that basically the same thing and is it ok to cook and eat off of that? Thanks so much for any info!

Is Thyme tea safe for infants?

My 5 month old has a nasty cough, and I know thyme tea is supposed to be a good, natural remedy for chest congestion, coughs, etc. Her father wants to give her tea… he is, afterall, an expert in herbalism after skimming through one book on the subject (note the sarcasm)… but I am dubious as to whether or not it’s safe to give an infant. Any info would be appreciated.

Is there a safe natural remedy for cold sores?

I’m wondering if there is a natural cure for cold sores that really works – even to the point of banishign the cold sore virus from my body. I don’t ever want to get cold sores again!

Thanks for your help.

Is Wii Fitness safe to play while pregnant?

We have just found out that we are pregnant again (one ectopic, one miscarriage), this will hopefully be our first child. However, I am a high risk pregnancy, and am nervous about exercise. So, I was wondering if anyone knew much about Wii Fitness, and if it is safe as a means of exercise during pregnancy. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Natural remedies for a head cold that are safe for a nursing mommy?

OK, I have an awful cold and I’m nursing a 2 month old. With my first kid (who is 2 now) I had colds but took OTC medicine since if I got drowsy I could sleep with the baby. But now I have a toddler to watch and I feel awful!!! Does anyone know any remedies for a head cold that is safe while I’m nursing and won’t make me drowsy? I live in the middle of nowhere so common things around the house would be AWESOME!!! Thanks!
