What’s the best thing for a persistent cough while pregnant?

 Powered by Max Banner Ads

I’m 27 weeks pregnant and have had a horrible cough and chest congestion for about 10 days now. I’ve been to the doctor and was prescribed Tesslon pearls (cough medicine, pill form) and that’s it. I’m a lil worried about taking it. I’d MUCH rather take something natural that I KNOW is safe for the baby.

When I lay down I can hear crackling in my chest when I exhale. I wake up coughing at least 3 or 4 times a night and cough off and on all day. I know theres crud in my chest, but can’t seem to cough any up (tmi sorry) It’s mostly a dry cough. My throat hurts.

This is actually an improvement. I have gotten better on my own, but it’s really becoming a pain in the butt.

I’m looking for more of a natural home remedy than going out and buying a bottle of robitussin, tylenol cold flu, ect.

I’ve eaten plenty of cough drops. not much help there.

Any advice?

Is passing the health care bill the worsed thing for Obama?

I was a city council member in a large city. The most common issue found in political nightmare is its life. If the bill dies so does the opposition but if it lives it spreads. If health care lives it gives the cons a horse to ride into 2010!

DALLAS, Texas (Achieve 3000, February 15, 2007) The American Heart Association is concerned about the health of many Americans. The group thinks that people are spending too much time sitting and not enough time exercising. That is why it is offering a new fitness program called Start! The goal of the free web-based program is that “Americans will live longer, more heart-healthy lives.”

“I think we all know that as a nation, we are not active enough,” said Dr. Raymond J. Gibbons, president of the heart association.

Start! places special emphasis on walking. Dr. Gibbons calls walking “the easiest activity for most people.”

Start! tells us that walking for even 30 minutes a day provides many benefits. It reduces the risk of heart disease and keeps weight under control. It improves cholesterol levels and manages high blood pressure. It also boosts energy levels and increases muscle strength.

Walking also provides many benefits for the mind. It helps people to worry less and sleep be

Stopping a cold from getting worse – such a thing as using too many OTC and natural remedies?

Felt like I was catching a cold this morning… so took action. Have been taking Airborne, Emergen-C, Oscillococcinum, and Zicam. Have had 3-4 doses of each today, all somewhat evenly spaced out. My question is: is this overkill or is my body still benefiting from taking so much of these products. I don’t think any harm is being done, because I haven’t gotten any worse. Thanks!
